1 Ingredients
| Qty | Ingredient |
|---|---|
| 1 lb 454 g | Pizza dough |
| 0.5 cup 120 ml | Pizza sauce |
| 2 cups 225 g | Shredded mozzarella cheese |
| 1 cup 150 g | Cooked ham, diced |
| 1 cup 165 g | Pineapple chunks, drained |
| 0.25 cup 40 g | Red onion, thinly sliced |
| 0.5 tsp 1 g | Red pepper flakes |
| 2 tbsp 5 g | Fresh cilantro, chopped |
2 Method
Step 1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while preheating for at least 30 minutes.
Step 2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a 12-inch circle.
Step 3. Transfer the dough to a piece of parchment paper or a pizza peel dusted with cornmeal.
Step 4. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving about 1 inch of space for the crust.
Step 5. Sprinkle 1 cup of the mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
Step 6. Evenly distribute the diced ham, pineapple chunks, and red onion over the cheese.
Step 7. Top with the remaining 1 cup of mozzarella and the red pepper flakes.
Step 8. Carefully slide the pizza onto the preheated stone or baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
Step 9. Remove from the oven and let rest for 2 minutes. Garnish with fresh cilantro, slice, and serve hot.
💡 Chef's Tips
-
·
Pat the pineapple chunks very dry with paper towels to prevent the juice from making the crust soggy.
-
·
For extra flavor, pan-sear the ham and pineapple for 2 minutes before adding them to the pizza to enhance caramelization.
-
·
If you like spice, drizzle a little Mike's Hot Honey over the finished pizza for a sweet-heat kick.
